There are reports that Windows Mobile 7 has been delayed by year. With all the excitement around iPhone, Blackberry, and Android (and Nokia to some extent), Microsoft is again missing the boat and dangerously close to being Palmized out of the market. As we noted earlier, the boeingification of Microsoft has really harmed the company’s ability to bring out competitive solution the market.

Chetan,
I’ve written about it a while back, where I compared Mobile Linux to Windows Mobile. To me it seems like Windows Mobile is going to slip further in their market share if they don’t get their act together.
The ODMs working with them are already frenzily looking for ways to revamp the UI they get by default in ways that are not that easy.

Tsahi,

thanks for your note. yes, good points regarding ML vs WM. MS needs a doze of competitive threat before it does anything to improve the status quo of its products which is unfortunate.
