Is the total subscriber count of Alltel known? It doesn’t seem to be something they state very obviously.
Wanting to understand the mobile subscriber populations of all the carriers to understand market size and growth. CTIA have old data only. VZ, Cingular state this by quarter, but haven’t found this for alltel, Tmobile, Sprint. Any sources?
Mike,
Alltel has around 11.8M subs. The number is typically buried in the financials. There are some indirect numbers in my quarterly reports - http://www.chetansharma.com/3Q06USupdate.htm (update for 2006 coming out in March). T-Mobile and Sprint will be announcing 4Q06 results soon.
Thanks
