A good majority of them are new ones that disrupted the old industries. Some are the old ones that transformed successfully into new domains. The ones that failed at transition are lost in the history books. The underlying platforms for this change were Smartphones and LTE deployment. As we are preparing to use 5G, AI, VR, Blockchain, IoT, Robotics, and more at scale, the disruption is going to be compounded, and we are likely to see hundreds of new companies generating billion dollars or more from digital services.
